8:00 AM - Meet in the parking lot of Billy’s Furniture at 1611 East Chestnut Street in Canton.
8:15 AM - Depart Canton traveling South towards Arthur, IL, home of Yoder’s Kitchen. We will make a rest stop along the way.
11:30 AM - Arrive at Yoder’s Kitchen where you will be treated to a buffet filled with made-from-scratch dishes and desserts.
2:00 PM - It’s showtime! After a delicious lunch, we make a short drive to Sullivan, IL, home to The Little Theatre on the Square, for their production of
Grease. It's 1959, and Rydell High School's senior class is in rare form. The 1950s high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers' age-old desire to be rebellious, provocative, and rebellious. At the heart of the story is the romance between hot-rodding gangster Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski. Can Danny maintain his cool dude status and still make demure Sandy his girl? The whole gang sings and dances around Danny and Sandy's romance, through such hit songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "We Go Together," and "Mooning," the soundtrack of a generation. Grease is the word!
4:30 PM - After a wonderful day, we start our journey back to Canton. We will make a rest stop along the way.
7:30 PM - Approximate arrival in Canton.
