It's been a busy season for Buzzy the Money Bee!
Over the past few months, Buzzy has been buzzing all across our communities, spreading smiles, celebrating students, and taking part in some of our favorite local traditions.
This summer, Buzzy hit the parade route, waving to families and handing out plenty of excitement at the Cuba Homecoming Parade, Lewistown Homecoming Parade, Canton Homecoming Parade, and the Friendship Festival Parade. One of the highlights of the season was reuniting with our 2025-2026 Buzzy's Best recipients during the Friendship Festival Parade as they rode alongside Buzzy and celebrated their outstanding accomplishments. The Buzzy's Best program recognizes students who demonstrate kindness, effort, leadership, and positive behavior throughout the school year.
And the fun didn't stop there...
Buzzy recently kicked off another year of celebrating local students by hosting the first Buzzy's Best award presentations at Cuba, Lewistown, Westview, Eastview, and Lincoln schools. It was exciting to meet this year's first recipients and recognize the great things they're doing both in and out of the classroom. The Buzzy's Best program is currently active in schools, helping encourage positive choices and rewarding students who go above and beyond.
And Buzzy isn't slowing down anytime soon!
As fall arrives, you'll be able to spot Buzzy at several community events, including the Trunk or Treat First Responder Halloween Event, Canton Park District's Halloween in the Holler, and other Halloween celebrations throughout the area. Be sure to stop by, say hello, snap a photo, and see your favorite money bee.
