What is Online & Mobile Banking?

Online & Mobile Banking are services that allow you access to your MNB accounts through a secure website and mobile app. With Online & Mobile Banking you can:
  • View your checking and savings account transactions, statements, available balances, loan balances and much more.
  • Make transfers between accounts, including loan payments.
  • View and print the front and back of your checks for research and legal proof of payment.
  • Pay bills to anyone with Bill Pay.

Can I see a demo of Online & Mobile Banking before signing up?

Absolutely! Simply stop by and get a one-on-one demonstration of Online & Mobile Banking at one of our banking centers in Canton (100 W. Elm Street), Macomb (130 N. Side Square), and Henry (700 Second St.).

How do I sign up for Online Banking?

To self-enroll in Online Banking, click on "New User Signup" in the upper right corner in the blue online banking box of the MNB website or sign up for online banking here.
  1. Complete the required fields in the self-enrollment form.
  2. Answer the four verification questions.
  3. Create a username and one-time security code.
  4. Close your browser.
  5. Check your email for the invitation to log in.
  6. Click on the link in your invitation email to log in for the first time.

Which web browser should I use for Online Banking?

In order to ensure the best possible Online Banking experience, be sure you are using the most up-to-date versions of these browsers: Microsoft Edge; Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari. Your browser will need both JavaScript and cookies enabled to access and operate within the site. 

How secure is Online & Mobile Banking?

Security is very important to MNB. Customer information is held behind secure gateways and firewalls and encrypted with the latest SSL technology. Security is a customer's responsibility as well. It is important that you trust your Internet access device (this means that you only open trusted e-mails and that you keep your anti-virus software updated). Do not share your password with anyone. 

How does MNB protect my information?

To safeguard all financial and personal information, MNB's Online Banking:
  • Requires a User Name & Password
  • Uses Login Security authentication
  • Uses secure SSL encryption for all Online Banking sessions
  • Retains all account data in secure bank systems
  • Ensures that emails received by the bank are seen by authorized employees of MNB
  • Uses systems that protect all financial and personal information and are anchored by industry standard security features

What is Login Security?

Login Security is an online security feature that provides an additional layer of protection from fraud and identity theft by preventing unauthorized access to your secure financial information. It allows us to recognize you as the true owner of your account by recognizing not only your login information but the computer or device you are using to access Online Banking or the MNB Mobile App. If we don't recognize your computer or device, you will be requested to receive a new verification code sent to you via text, voice call or email in order to authenticate yourself. You can select to remember your device upon logging in so that we recognize your device the next time you log in from the same device. 

What about my privacy?

Is there any way someone could access my account by having Internet access?

No, we utilize an industry standard practice called Multifactor Authentication (MFA). This allows us to insure only authorized individuals, as designated by you, are accessing your Online Banking information. 

How do I change my password?

After logging in to Online Banking or the MNB Mobile app, go to "Manage Profile", click on "Change Password" under "Login Settings". You will be able to change your password by entering your current password followed by your new password in the spaces provided. Your password must have at least 8 characters including a number, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a special character. Click "Save" to save your changes. 

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, click on "Forgot Password" in the upper right corner of the MNB website or on the login screen of the Mobile App. You can also find online banking password help here. If you continue to have problems, contact our Customer Service Department at 877-647-5050. 

Can I export my transaction information?

Yes, you may export account transaction information into Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Money, Quicken and Quickbooks. 

What transfers can I make?

You can transfer funds to or from eligible MNB accounts you own. In order to make external transfers you will need to call us toll free at 877-647-5050 to register. Once registered, add a new external account and verify the account using a deposit challenge. There is no fee for incoming external transfers from other financial institutions; however the outgoing transfer fee to other financial institutions is $3.00 per transfer. 

Can I use Online Banking with my mobile device or tablet?

What is Mobile Deposit?

Deposit checks fast from anywhere with your mobile device. To use Mobile Deposit, you must have the MNB Mobile App installed on your mobile device. If you already use the MNB Mobile App, make sure you have the most recent update installed. Visit our Mobile Deposit webpage for more information.

How do I use Mobile Deposit?

  1. Log in to the MNB Mobile App.
  2. Tap the menu button in.
  3. Select "Deposit Checks".
  4. Click on the "Make a Deposit" tab.
  5. Tap the camera images to take photos of the front and back of your check. Be sure to endorse the back of the check with "Mobile Deposit Only" under your signature.
  6. Enter the deposit amount and deposit account.
  7. Click "Review" and "Submit".
You will receive notification of your deposit status to the email address linked to your Online Banking account. Please retain your deposited check for 60 days and then securely destroy it.
